Photo Copy

For the final project of my photography course we were assigned to source a pre-digital photograph that exists as a visual object that has not been disseminated online. We were then asked to re-stage, re-vision, or re-create a new photograph based on the sourced photo. I chose to base my photo around one of my favourite hobbies. Snowboarding has been a large influence in my life and was the original spark of interest that got me into shooting photos. My bedroom walls were covers with Transworld Snowboarding mag ads and photographs from all the best photographers in the sport. I chose this photo from a Rome snowboarding ad because of the play of DoF and the snapshot aspect.
